Fruit Crunch

Freeze-dried, not dehydrated

Mango, Guava, Pineapple, Strawberry, Chikoo, Kiwi, Jamun.

What does freeze-dried actually mean? I keep seeing the term.

Fresh, ripe fruit gets frozen solid first. Then it goes into a controlled low-pressure chamber where the ice converts directly into vapour. The fruit never gets cooked, boiled, or fried. No oil touches it at any point. What you get out is a crispy, lightweight version of that original fruit, with the flavour, colour, and most of the nutrients still there. It is genuinely different from dehydration, which uses heat and strips out far more in the process.

Is there really just one ingredient in every pack?

Yes. Check any Fruit Crunch pack and you will see one word. Mango. Guava. Strawberry. No oil, no sugar, no seasoning, no preservatives, nothing added at any stage. The fruit goes in and the water comes out. That is the whole process.

No added sugar at all, even in the sweet ones?

None. The sweetness in Mango or Pineapple is the natural fructose that was already in the fruit before we touched it. We add nothing. The ingredient list is one item.

The pack feels incredibly light. Am I just paying for air? Popular

Water is the heaviest part of any fruit, and freeze drying removes almost all of it. The cellular structure of the fruit stays intact so the shape holds, but the weight drops significantly. Every pack started as several times its weight in fresh, ripe fruit. Not air. Everything that matters about that fruit, minus the water.

What does it actually taste like? I have never tried freeze-dried fruit before.

Like the fresh fruit, but more concentrated. There is no water diluting the flavour so it hits immediately. The texture is light and airy and melts the moment it touches moisture in your mouth. Most people are surprised by how accurate the flavour is compared to what they expected from a packet snack.

Are these good for kids?

Yes. Single ingredient, nothing added. Works well in lunchboxes. One thing to watch: the airy texture can be a choking risk for very young children, so use your normal judgement if they are under three.

Mine went soft and sticky after I opened the pack. What happened?

Freeze-dried fruit pulls moisture from the air very quickly once the seal is broken. Reseal the pack straight away after opening and store it somewhere dry. It is not spoiled, just lost its crunch. If a sealed pack arrived soft, contact us through pureely.in and we will sort it out.

Is it okay for people watching their sugar intake?

No sugar is added, only natural fructose from the fruit. Keep in mind that freeze drying concentrates the fruit, so the natural sugar per gram is higher than in fresh fruit. Anyone managing blood sugar levels should check with their doctor. We make food, not medical recommendations.

Gluten-free? Vegan?

Yes to both. Single ingredient, 100% fruit. No animal products, no gluten.

Fruit Crunch - What goes into every pack

On the price

The yield ratio is where it makes sense.

Why does freeze-dried fruit cost more than regular dried fruit? Key

Start with the yield. Freeze drying also runs for many hours per batch in specialised equipment with very precise conditions. It is not a fast or cheap process. What the price reflects is whole ripe fruit and an honest process. Nothing added to close the cost gap.

10 kg

of fresh fruit gives just 600 to 800 grams of finished product.
Every pack started as several times its weight in real, ripe fruit. The rest is water, removed by the process.

Is anything added to the fruit during processing?

Nothing. Whole ripe fruit goes in. Water comes out. No oil, no sugar, no seasoning, not even salt. One ingredient on every pack.

How does it stay fresh for months with no preservatives?

The biological processes that cause food to spoil need moisture to function. Freeze drying removes nearly all of it. We pair that with high-barrier packaging that blocks external moisture from getting back in. No chemicals needed in the product itself.

Why should I choose Pureely over other freeze-dried options?

Every claim on our pack is lab-verified, not self-declared. We use whole ripe fruit, not reconstituted or processed input. The ingredient list is short because it genuinely is, not because we have grouped multiple additives under a single vague term. Try it. Freeze-dried fruit made from quality whole fruit tastes different from fruit that was not. That is the comparison that matters.

Veggie Crisps

Vacuum-fried, not deep-fried

Okra, Beetroot, Sweet Potato, Potato, Banana, Carrot.

What is vacuum frying? Is it just another term for deep frying?

Regular deep frying runs at 160-200 C. Vacuum frying drops that to 80-120 C with the air pressure reduced inside the cooking chamber. At lower pressure, the moisture inside the vegetable escapes at a much lower temperature. The crisps form without the vegetable sitting in a pool of oil. Less heat, less oil, and the vegetable keeps more of its colour, flavour, and nutrients. Different process, not just a different name.

How much oil is actually in these? Popular

12% Rice Bran Oil by weight. A conventional deep-fried crisp absorbs 30-40%. We will not say zero oil because it is not zero. But 12% is a meaningful difference, and you can feel it in how light the texture is.

Why Rice Bran Oil and not something else?

High smoke point, clean flavour, does not compete with the vegetable or the seasoning. Better fatty acid profile than most refined alternatives. It costs more than palm oil. We use it anyway.

What kind of seasoning do you use?

Our seasoning is custom-made for Pureely from real ingredients. It is not an off-the-shelf flavour compound. No MSG, no artificial flavour enhancers, no chemical additives. Every component is a real spice or food ingredient you would recognise, and each one is listed individually on the pack. Nothing is hidden behind vague terms.

Where does the Beetroot come from?

Exclusively from Ooty in the Nilgiri hills. Grown without chemical fertilisers, using natural spring water, hand-picked. It is the only product in our range with a single-origin story. The deep colour in the crisp is the beetroot, not added colouring.

Does vacuum frying actually preserve nutrients?

Yes, meaningfully so. Heat is the main cause of nutrient degradation, particularly vitamins A, C, and most B-group vitamins. At 80-120 C the damage is significantly less than conventional frying at 160-200 C. These are not as nutritious as raw vegetables, because any cooking changes food. But they are considerably better than anything deep-fried at high heat, and there are no chemical additives making up the difference.

Can kids eat these?

Yes. No artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. Designed from the start to work as a lunchbox snack. The crunch is firm, so use your normal judgement for very young children.

Gluten-free? Vegan?

Yes to both. Vegetables, Rice Bran Oil, and real spice seasoning. Nothing else.

How do I store them once the pack is open?

Reseal the pack and keep it in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight. Humidity kills the crunch faster than anything else. No refrigeration needed.

Have these been tested for safety? Trust

Yes. Every product is lab tested for safety and quality before it goes on sale. We are building a food brand people can actually trust, not one that just looks the part on a shelf. If you want to see documentation, reach out through pureely.in.

Veggie Crisps - What goes into every pack

On the price

Four things that actually separate our crisps from cheaper alternatives.

I can find vacuum-fried snacks for less. What is different about Pureely? Key

"Vacuum-fried" and "no preservatives" appear on other packs too. Here is what is actually different inside ours. Read the label on cheaper alternatives carefully.

The vegetables. Ooty beetroot grown without chemical fertilisers, using spring water, hand-picked. Okra selected at its most tender stage. Nendran banana chosen for flavour, not yield. What goes in sets a ceiling on what comes out.

The oil. Rice Bran Oil. Not palm oil or a generic refined alternative. Chosen for its smoke point, clean flavour, and fatty acid profile.

The seasoning. Custom-made for Pureely, not sourced as a generic compound. Actual whole spice ingredients. No MSG, no artificial enhancers.

The packaging. High-barrier material chosen to maximise shelf life without adding preservatives to the product. The shelf life on the pack comes from the pouch, not from a chemical inside the crisp.

How does the seasoning not have any artificial ingredients?

Read the back of the pack. Every sub-ingredient in our seasoning is listed individually. There is no catch-all like "spices and flavouring agents." When a brand uses vague collective terms, there is usually a reason. We list everything because there is nothing to hide. One rule for our seasoning blend: if you would not recognise the ingredient name, it does not go in.

Why does packaging matter so much for a snack?

Without the right packaging, the only way to extend shelf life is to add preservatives inside the product. We did not want that. High-barrier packaging blocks moisture and oxygen from the outside. The shelf life is in the pouch, not in a chemical additive. If you have ever opened a pack and found it stale well before the best-before date, that is usually a packaging failure.

About Pureely

A food brand, not a snack brand

We did not start Pureely to look premium. We started it to be trustworthy.

What does "clean label" actually mean? Every brand uses this term.

Fair to question it. For us it means no preservatives, no artificial colours, no artificial flavour enhancers, no chemical additives, and an ingredient list where you would recognise every item. It also means the claims are lab-verified, not just printed. Without verification, clean label is just packaging language.

Why did Pureely start?

We did not start Pureely to build a premium snack brand. We started it because we wanted food we could actually trust, and that did not seem to exist at a fair price. The healthy snack aisle was full of products with more additives than the regular ones, just with better branding. One question drove everything: why can't snacks just be made from real ingredients?

Are your products lab tested and FSSAI approved? Trust

Yes to both. FSSAI compliant, lab tested for safety and quality before any product goes on sale. If you want to see documentation, contact us through pureely.in.

Do you ship across India?

Yes. Order at pureely.in.

Can I order in bulk or for corporate gifting?

Check pureely.in for current offers. For bulk or gifting enquiries, reach out through the website and we will get back to you.
